The hot dog lunch sounds awesome, please let us know if we can bring
anything - cheese, grilled onions, whatever.
For primary fermentation we should shoot for somewhere in the 63-68F degree
range. We'll be using a variety of yeasts so some will better at the upper
end, while the others will work better in the lower end. We should be OK if
we can hold that for about 10 days, then we can let the temperature drop
down to whatever. I guess it all depends on how forgiving your heating bill
is...

Tim, I believe we concluded that the big brew would be at my house this
Sunday, Jan 27. Does that agree with your notes Brett? If something has
changed, just let me know.
Someone can suggest a time. I'm flexible.
Since it will probably be cold, I figured I'd make up some kind of hot soup
and maybe have a do-it-yourself hot dog - chili dog bar. .. I'm talking real
hot dogs, not "wieners"...unless there are other suggestions?.
Also if we plan to use glass carboys, it might be useful if someone could
bring one or two of those carboys carriers (the strap type) to make it
easier to get the carboys around the side of the house into the brew cellar.
Brett, let me know what temperature you would like to have the the brew
cellar at...particularly while we are in primary fermentation. I will
preheat it accordingly. I can maintain the temperature about anywhere in
the range 45-75 degrees.
