I've been collecting info from various club members as to the grain pound
capacity of their mash tuns, and the efficiency of the brew systems.

I can process about 12-13 lbs (i can get more in there but it is hard to
stir) of grain in my mash tun for a 5.5 gallon batch of wort. I'm not sure of
the exact efficiency rate but you have seen the system, I'm guessing it at 5%
either side of 75%. I have pulled off quite a few 1.080 and greater OG
brews with it. Hopefully it will be upgraded to a new brew kettle soon that will
give me a larger volume to boil. I should have an extra carboy and air lock
and I will have the extra 8 gallon oak wooden cask if we need more storage
capacity.

Looks like a it will be great day to be a brewer!
