Very cool. Hopefully you still have some and will bring it to the next
meeting so we can all sample your masterpiece! :)

I believe your award was for a Black Lager, Brett mentioned that you had won
an award for it in the past as well?

Must have been the amber / brown ale. I patterned it after Anderson Valley
Amber ale (Boont). I used the wild (kinda wild) hops that Brett, Mike and I
harvested last Aug / Sept here in Bend. This was my first amber ale entry.

Here is the all grain recipe:

8lb - 2 row

1.o lb - Brown malt (55 - 70 L)

1.o lb - Cry 10

1.o lb - Cry 40

.5 lb - Cry 120

.5 lb - malted white wheat

1 teaspoon Irish Moss @15 min

1 tablespoon Gypsum @ 30 min

1 oz wild hops @ 60 min

1 oz wild hops @ 30 min

2 oz wild hops @ 15 min

1 oz saaz @ 5 min

2 oz crystal dry hop in secondary (loose in glass carboy)

Mash at 152 one hour

3rd generation N/W ale yeast - Wyeast, pitched about a quart.

75 min boil

68 degrees for three days and then transfer to 60 degrees for four days

Transfer to secondary after 8 days and 20 days in secondary at 55-60 degree
