[COHO] Question about Kegs and regulators 4-U

The facts: My friend over the hill mentioned that he has a 6 flavor Pepsi
drink dispenser refrigeration unit with a regulator and all hoses /
connections. He got it used so it is an older unit. It is about 18"x24" with the
electric refrigeration unit on the back. The Korney kegs he used were "pre-mix"
Pepsi soda (like the ones I got from Rich the other night at the meeting).
The tanks are exposed. They hook up to tubes, then pipes, then the refer
unit on the back of the machine. It comes with tanks and a CO/2 tank (I
think?). He said that he paid $200.00 for it and that's what he wants now.

The question - (I know nothing about kegging):
    * Will this unit work for beer as well as soda? Same taps??
    * What else will I need to get my kegging off the ground if I buy it?
    * Wouldn't I need a refrigerator or freezer to keep the beer kegs cold
(hell who cares about the soda!) and fresh?
    * Is this a good price? I'd have to make a special trip over the hill
to get it so I'd have to figure in fuel in the cost.
    *   Waadya ya thunk?
Thanks all!
