Hello COHO,
I've been talking with some of the people in charge of the Bend Brew Fest.
If any body is interested in volunteering their time to pour beer they are now filling spots on various shifts. I'm not sure what the deal will be this year, but last year volunteers received a t-shirt, free admission, and a few free beers. I had a great time last year and highly recommend it if you have the time. They will need about 20 people for each shift
The available shifts are:
Friday August 18, 4:00 to 7:30 (shift 1)
7:30 to 11:00 (shift 2)
Saturday August 19, 12:00 to 3:30 (shift 3)
3:30 to 7:00 (shift 4)
7:00 to 10:30 + (shift 5)
The person to contact is Kent Norris, 312-8510, kent at theoldmill.com
Also, they are looking for experienced people to deal cards in a Texas Hold em' event tent. Probably similar shifts and the same benefits as volunteering to pour.

I talked with Kent about COHO having a tent or booth where we could serve our own beers, possibly brew, and talk to people about our club. He likes the idea but seems like it may be tough to pull off. OLCC, safety rules and all that other unfun stuff that gets in the way of a good time. Kent is not in charge of coordinating the alcohol aspect of the event but will talk to the people at Monique Presents about it and get back to us or have them contact us. Maybe try to think of other things we could do to represent our club at the event. We can talk more about this at the group brew on Saturday.
Cheers!
Evan
