[COHO] Wednesday meeting location

After speaking with the Bend Parks and Recreation Department, I don't think
that we should have our meeting at any of the parks this month. First of
all, if you want to reserve a park, it costs about $50 (depending on the
park), then you have to get an alcohol permit from the police department.
The permit only costs $5, which isn't bad compared to if you get caught with
alcohol and don't have one (about $300/ person and everyone there gets a
ticket. That could cost us about $6000.)
We could use the parks without a reservation, but I'm not sure if we could
get a permit without a reservation and we wouldn't be guaranteed a spot with
picnic tables or anything else.
If we meet at a park outside of the city limits, we do not need an alcohol
permit.
Anyway, unless anyone has a problem with it, or if they have a better
location in mind, we should have our meeting at the brewshop this Wednesday.
If it’s nice outside (unlike the insane hail that’s going on as I type
this), we could have it out back.
Please offer your suggestions as to a good place to meet in the future.
Remember that we have to be able to drink our own alcohol there, it has to
be free or close to free, and it should be close to, if not within, the city
limits.
Cheers
-Mike
