Ditto, my IPA had too much hop bitterness. Isn't this the pacific
northwest?

Deschutes Co. Fair judge said mine were too  hoppy for their
style...maybe I'll just enter them in the Best Damn Hoppy Beer contest.

I judged the Best Damn Hoppy Beer contest last year at Hop Maddness.
Some 
real nice hoppy beers, but ya got to have not only the hops, but a good
malty balance too. Some where just way too over the top hops and nothing
to
support it. Judging was less than offical though. Just a few of us
standing 
around saying this ones better than that one. Fun stuff though and a
great
group of guys. Any of you go last year? I assume some folks are going
this
year? I'll be there and definately looking forward to it. I will not be 
jumping in the pile of hops this year though. The sticky hops in the
sweaty
private areas are less than ideal and my flip-flops didn't flip or flop
the
rest of the weekend, but a person has to do it at least once! Great
photo 
op.
