OK, the wiki has landed. It is at wiki.bendug.org. If KBob or whoever wants to
point wiki.euglug.org there as well, it will work now.

Since this wiki requires a login, I will create a web form that people can use
to request a login. Consider this a request for comments on that. I would like
it to go to more people than just me. Maybe we don't want that and prefer
people just requesting in the list? What is the thinking on this?

There are initial groups of wheel, editors, users, and guests. What these
groups can and can't do is mostly undecided, but basically a guest can just
look. wheel is for admins, and they can create users and groups and edit
anything. editors I envision as a group that can edit almost anything,
especially certain key pages. editors would also sort of be the custodians,
creating link relationships or whatever for the overall usability. This is a
good group for people who hang out in the Wiki a lot and have a good
understanding of its structure. Users are everybody else. users can edit the
majority of pages, but don't have any particular responsibility. by default, I
would make "trusted" users editors.

Initially I would like to put a few people in the wheel group. I have no
intention of being some kind of control freak. Good candidates would be KBob
and Larry, since I know them, and anyone else they think.

I have set up a couple initial "webs". It might be a good idea to read about
coWiki to see what that means. I created a home web to serve the same basic
purpose af your home dir on a *nix box. Each user should have one of these
created for them. Anyway, blah blah... Take a look, you'll get the idea.
