[Bendug] problems with dsl...

I'm using Fedora Core 1. Anyone have any idea why
trying to run 'yum update' makes my DSL modem freeze?
I have to reset it by cycling the power. Sometimes
Konquerer freezes the modem also. Only the hard reset
fixes it.
