[Bendug] trying to connect to ftp.bendug.org?

Well, sftp works much differently than ftp.  There are features built into the BSD ftpd that ssh doesn't support.  Also, there really isn't any reason to use sftp in this case.  What would you be trying to keep secret?  Anon ftp is configured on there without the ftp account having any shell acces, which I believe is required for sftp.

Is there some reason, such as a firewall at your side, that you can't use ftp?
